All About Misha Calvert & Vermilion Coaching
Hi Beautiful Artist! My Name Is Misha.
I was making film and theater from the time I could walk. Lucky for me, I had bold, unapologetic artist parents who encouraged me to be weird (as it should be)! But in my 20's, I found myself scrambling to figure out how to "do life," and my creativity took a back seat to survival. I spent years getting myself back on track.
First I figured out how to make money. I worked for major companies in advertising and PR in New York City. Frustrated with the lack of creativity in corporate life, I struck out on my own and started an executive consulting company for high net worth individuals.
The whole time I was acting on the side. I lacked the confidence to fully commit to it, but I couldn't bear to completely give up.
After a decade I realized, "you're an artist! Always have been! What the hell are you doing?" I closed down my company and started focusing exclusively on making independent film and television.
In eight years, I created a dozen short films as a writer-director-actor. I made five web series, including two that sold to networks and one that made it to the Tribeca Film Festival. I also campaigned for an Emmy and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for my projects.
What did it cost me? Time. Before I went all in on being an artist, I wasted so much time working on things that didn't make me happy. I finally realized, hey, no one is going to give me a chance unless I give myself a chance.
As a self-confessed weird person, I didn't fit into a lot of the rooms I was in. But when I finally embraced that and realized that my dreams matter, things started to happen really fast.
I want to save you time and make you money. That's why I started Vermilion. Artists are an incredibly precious resource, and I believe you, as an artist, can help rescue our ailing planet.
I don't subscribe to "the starving artist," and I don't think you need to wait 10 years to be a success.
Do you agree? Great. Let's begin.
I'd like to get you hired professionally as an artist within six months. No time like the present.
Your creativity is your greatest power!
