Unlocking Your Hidden Creative Genius.
This somatic practice has been created for anyone wanting to feel extraordinary aliveness in their own body; move from smaller expression into larger expression; build confidence and presence in an undeniable way; get to know the enchanting, uncharted parts of self that create unforgettable performances; and build powerful, lifelong creative community.
Movement practitioner Kathi Hendrick will lead this two-day New York City somatic intensive at a private studio in Manhattan. Activities include meditation, group movement, individual witnessed movement, breathwork, and emotional release, among others. Students will be received in a deeply safe space as they explore and express these new, hidden aspects of self.
Director Misha Calvert will then meet with all students one-on-one after the workshop concludes for individual integration sessions to help you to apply the ancient wisdom of the SO•MA work practically to your life and career. You will receive real-world guidance in how to take what you learn in class, and feed it into your day-to-day life as an artist and emotional being.
This is a unique, one-of-a-kind retreat that we only offer once a year. The rates for this are heavily discounted from the rest of Kathi's offerings because both she and Misha are passionate about getting this experience to artists at a rate they can afford.

Kathi Hendrick
Somatic Movement Facilitator
“I spent the early part of my life devoted to deep training within the realms of classical ballet and fine arts. Now, I support an international community of individuals and organizations in healing and transformation work anchored in ancient tradition and modern practice. Somatic movement, mindfulness, meditation, and creative practice are central pillars of this work.
I have a deep respect for nature and passion for participating in the design of a more sustainable, integrated world where we align ourselves to the natural order of things and remember what's truly necessary to live consciously with contentment.
My art practice is multi-faceted, with a more recent focus on exploring the mythic body of self and world through poetry and dance including a full-length poetry book titled, PORTALS.”
